I'm not convinced that the theory put forward by your friend is right, I expect it was something else. The precaution you mention is unnecessary with any of today's browsers, although being a bit paranoid is often a good thing with security.

Hello Richard again. There is no other message other than the one that mentioned a private message. My provider is saying that my company e-mail has been blacklisted as a mistake by the University concerned. So I am going to write to them to ask for an explanation.

High Richard,

No I have not even been able to give it my attention I have been busy with other admin elements. Can I ask your advice. I had a request from a University lecturer in Canada for some music. I replied to his e-mail and it bounced back within a second with half the e-mail missing. I logged onto the University website and tried to contact the lecturer via their e-mails and again it bounced back with half of it missing. I also tried their computer support and help desk and the same thing happened. Each time within a minute of sending the e-mail and with part of the e-mail removed. I contacted my web address hosts and they said it was a problem with the university e-mail system. I subsequently tried again using a different e-mail account and it was sent immediately. What could be the problem I have had a lot of trouble with my e-mails and e-mail accounts and have have written proof they have been hacked into on more than one occasion. I have requested that my server does a full investigation and reports back is their anything else I should be aware of that I can ask them to clarify.

Regards and thanks I appreciate I am asking for free technical advice and am sorry if it comes across as taking advantage.

Google unveils its desktop strategy

Google have finally revealed their long awaited desktop strategy and in many ways it is not particularly surprising. Take the core of the Linux operating system and stick it's chrome web browser on top. When chrome was released there was some speculation that certain aspects of its design meant it might grow to become more than just a browser, and this appears to be the case. The real question is what does this mean for us users.

What are the positives for you and I? The obvious is a well desig… Continue
