- I am a Business Advisor for The Enterprise Agency for Wear Valley and Teesdale as well as owner of THE HOUSE a Hair, Beauty and Complementary Therapy salon in my home town of Spennymoor.
I am married to Peter and have 3 grown up children, 1 grandchild Jake and a handbag sized Bichon Frise called BJ who is a white fluffball lookalike me!!!

- I took over the lease for The House in April 2008 from one of my clients who was having financial problems and was unable to keep her beauty business going, as I saw the potential in the property and wanted to help my client I took over the business and with Legi minor works grant funding as well as financial investment from myself and my husband we fully renovated the salon as an incubator unit for start up hair, beauty and complementary therapists to operate from.
We bought the property in October 2008 to secure the salon and to grow the concept with a view to eventually franchising the business in other area's.
In June 2009 I made the decision to rent out the property as a going concern. THE HOUSE still maintains the high standard and quality Hair, Beauty and Complementary Therapies and has added Tanning Booths, Colagenics Treatments, Teeth Whitening and Podiatry to the list of treatments available.
I would recommend everyone to visit THE HOUSE and undergo a 10 years younger makeover or just enjoy being pampered in calming and luxurious surroundings!!!!

I have promised to pay for a treatment for my daughter in a couple of weeks - to help her get over the stress of giving birth!!!
